Living On The Road: How We Feel at Home When We’re Feeling Home Sick

This blog post was created in partnership with GOODLES

Living in a van allows for so many memories to be made all across the US.  Allows for so many good times. When we travel to a new town, we like to focus on the foods we eat and we fully believe that not only can you tell a lot about an area by the food, but a lot of the best memories and stories have a connection to food.

Food is what brings families together, what houses community, culture and life.  It truly fuels memories like nothing else.

This is why certain foods are a staple in our van household.  Ones that remind us of a specific time in our lives— especially our childhood.

Can’t you already smell it? Taste it?

Nothing beats coming home after a long day of adventure in the woods to a warm home cooked meal made by mama— especially mac n’ cheese.

Now THAT is our childhood right there.

Unfortunately, as much as we love a good mac… it’s not the healthiest thing for us to eat, so guilt always sets in. So what happens when we can’t say no? What happens when we want to dive into a bit of nostalgia? We reach for something that’s better than mama’s mac (sorry mom)!

We reach for GOODLES.  You read that right!  Noodles that are GOOD.  We always crack and want to make the cheesiest mac n’ cheese when feeling home sick.  The perk of GOODLES?  The bowl of noodles doesn’t come with a side of guilt!  Goodles are packed with yummy nutrients from plants as well as fiber and DELICIOUSNESS!  You really can’t go wrong with a GOODER tasting noodle!

Have we convinced you yet?

No but seriously. We make one of these amazing boxes of GOODLES, pair it with our favorite vegetable and BAM. It immediately takes us back to our childhood. Those times we would play tag outside for endless hours and come inside to a delicious bowl of mac.

That is pure happiness and we’re purely addicted.

So if you’re missing home— reach for a box of GOODLES and get your happy on.  Share it with friends.  Make the BEST memories.  That is what life is all about.  That is what we are all about.

And that’s why we choose Goodles every time.

Oh and…You won’t regret it.

Your body and community will thank you.
